Summary:

The Sales Associate responds to incoming phone inquiries or works outbound leads from potential customers and provides price quotes on automobile, home and motorcycle insurance with the intention of selling these products. Sales associates are expected to follow up on their leads. Sales Associates may also work on retaining Esurance policyholders during the policy renewal period.  Associates may counsel customers on current insurance needs, assist in reducing the number of cancellations or engage in other activities to increase customer loyalty.

Job Responsibilities:

• New to Esurance
• 0 to 3 months experience
• Provide quotes to potential customers for auto, home and motorcycle insurance and complete sales
• Assist customers in purchasing policies for quotes completed online
• Complete quotes on purchased Esurance web leads
• Advise and counsel customers on their insurance needs
• Callback customers as necessary to close sales opportunities
• Make outbound calls to customers who have expressed an interest in Esurance products
• Follow up on quoted leads
• Reviewing current customers coverage’s and cross selling other products
• Overcoming a current customers request to cancel their policy
• Maintain training in sales skills and insurance products
• Cross-sell additional products including Homeowners, Renters and Motorcycle

Qualifications:

• 1+ years sales experience
• Ability to take initiative
• Demonstrates persistence, overcomes obstacles, and strives to improve skills and achieve goals
• Closes the sale by addressing customer concerns, demonstrating empathy, and consistently moving the customer towards commitment
• Focuses the sales effort around identifying and fulfilling customers' current and future needs
• Effective organizational skills

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
• Property and Casualty license required
• College degree a plus
